Fundraising: Director of Fundraising
The Director of Fundraising is responsible for the recruiting, training, management and reporting of the Mollaret’s Meningitis Association’s fundraising team. Tasked with setting fundraising strategies, assisting in fundraising campaigns, identifying and cultivating donor relationships and acting as an advisor to the Executive Director, the Director of Fundraising will play a critical role in the operations of the Mollaret’s Meningitis Association working closely with all other functions of the organization and setting priority with guidance from the Executive Director and the Director of Operations.
Identify and oversee the application process of grants from various sources both public and private.
Identify, develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors.
Recruit, train and manage a team of fundraisers seeking grants, sponsorships and other forms of fundraising campaigns.
Develop and maintain fundraising campaigns with a strong focus on the core mission and values of the Mollaret’s Meningitis Association.
Provide a fundraising pipeline and budget to the Executive Director monthly.
Act as a key project team member in the implementation and roll out of a Mollaret’s Meningitis Patient Registry.
Research and ensure compliance with all local, state and federal fundraising laws and regulations.
3+ years of experience in a fundraising role.
Knowledge of various fundraising platforms.
Proven experience of effectively leading a team (preference to virtual settings).
Proven track record for successful fund solicitation.
Be a self-motivated individual with the want to make a true impact.
5+ years of experience in a fundraising role.
Bachelor’s Degree or greater in nonprofit management or similar area.
Experience in a Corporate Giving or similar program.
Monthly fundraising pipeline update to the Executive Director.
Provide a quarterly budget for fundraising needs to the Executive Director.
Attend meetings on research projects and develop necessary fundraising strategies for review by the Director of Operations.
Provide a quarterly update of all fund sources and relationships to the Executive Director.
